In short:
- Varnara is an app for parents who share custody. You need to be 18 and have a Swedish mobile number.
- What you add is yours. What you share is visible to the parent you've connected with.
- Varnara is free. If we introduce paid features later, you'll be told in advance and decide for yourself whether to pay.
- Varnara doesn't replace legal advice, family law services or the authorities.
- You can delete your account in the app whenever you want.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Varnara app for iOS and Android and related services (the “service”). The service is provided by [Företagsnamn AB], [org.nr 000000-0000], [Postadress, postnummer ort] (“Varnara”, “we”). By accepting these terms when you create your account, you enter into an agreement with us.
How we process personal data is described in our privacy policy.
The Swedish version of these terms (Användarvillkor) takes precedence if the two versions differ.
2. The service
Varnara helps parents who share custody plan their children's everyday life together: a shared calendar and custody schedule, handovers and swaps, holiday planning, expenses and receipts, documents, agreements, messages, journal and memories, reminders and calendar sync.
We develop the service continuously and may add, change or remove features.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and a legal guardian of, or otherwise responsible for, the children you add.
- You sign in with your Swedish mobile number and a one-time code sent by text message. You're responsible for keeping your phone and codes to yourself, and for what is done with your account.
- The information you provide must be accurate. Your account is personal and may not be transferred.
4. Co-parent and shared content
You can invite the other parent by text message. Only do so if you're entitled to use that person's mobile number for this. Once you're both connected to the same children, you can both see and edit what's shared about them, such as the calendar, schedule, expenses, documents and agreements.
If you delete your account while a co-parent still uses the service, the shared content about the children stays available to that parent, but your name and account details are removed. If you're the only parent of the family in the service, the content is deleted entirely. The privacy policy has the details.
5. Your content and how you use the service
You own what you add, such as text, photos, receipts and documents. You give us the right to store, process and display that content to the extent needed to provide the service to you and to the people you share it with. That right ends when the content is deleted.
You may not use the service to:
- harass, threaten or stalk anyone, or send abusive content;
- add information about children or adults that you're not entitled to handle;
- upload unlawful content or content that infringes anyone else's rights;
- try to access other people's accounts, disrupt the service, or get around its security or limits.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Unless the breach is serious, you'll first get a chance to put it right.
6. Tone Guard, reminders and other help
Tone Guard gives automatic suggestions when a message might come across as confrontational. They're only suggestions; you decide what you send and you're responsible for it. Reminders, weather forecasts and similar features are aids, and we can't guarantee that they always arrive or are accurate.
Varnara is a planning tool. It isn't legal advice and doesn't replace family law services, courts, social services or other authorities. We don't guarantee that content in the service will be accepted as evidence. In an emergency, call 112.
7. Price
Varnara is free to use. You pay nothing, and we won't charge you for anything unless you've explicitly chosen to buy it.
We may offer paid features or subscriptions in the future. If so, we'll update these terms and tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance. What you've already created in the app isn't affected, and it's up to you whether to pay for anything.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running at all times but can't guarantee that it will be free from errors or interruptions, for example during maintenance or problems at our suppliers. Keep your own copies of documents and information that matter to you.
9. Liability
We're liable for damage we cause through negligence or by breaking these terms. We're not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, or for content that users add. These limitations don't apply if we've been grossly negligent or acted intentionally, and they don't restrict your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time under Profile → Delete account. We may discontinue the service for all users with at least 60 days' notice, so you have time to save what you want to keep.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. We'll announce significant changes in the app or by text message at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't accept the changes, you can close your account before then. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed.
12. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Please contact us first and we'll try to sort it out. As a consumer you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se. We follow ARN's recommendations. Disputes may also be brought before a Swedish court.
